Borbaad Movie Box Office Collection

Borbaad is a Bangladeshi romantic action thriller movie which was released on 31st March 2025 during the time of Eid-ul-Fitr. It was directed by Mehedi Hassan Hridoy in his premiere film and was produced by Shahreen Akter Sumi and Azeem Haroon under the banners of Ridhi Sidhi Entertainment and  Real Energy Production. The film starred Shakib Khan in the lead role with his co actor Idhika Paul. Jisshu Sengupta returned to Bangladeshi movies after almost 23 years and Misha Sawdagor  played a very important part in the movie.

The film had a good budget for Bangladesh between 15 cr (BDT) which made it one of the costliest films in the country’s history. Most of the shooting took place outside Bangladesh which gave it a grand and polished look. Big action scenes were choreographed by Ravi Varma and Ejaz Master of bollywood which added extra excitement for the audience.

Borbaad got an overwhelming response when it hit the theatres.The demand was so high that it became the first Bangladeshi film to have midnight shows. At its peak it was showing in around 120 theatres with over 560 screenings daily.

The success story of the movie Borbaad not only lies in the box office but also in capturing the imaginations of the audiences. The story is a mix of romance, high-octane action, and emotional drama  which appeals to every type of viewer from young to old audience. Critics praised the strong performance of Shakib Khan, Idhika Paul’s charming presence , and Jisshu Sengupta’s impactful comeback. The international screening further enhanced its reputation which proves that  Bangladeshi movies can find a market outside the country as well.

The film industry experts believe that Borbaad have raised the bar of Bangladeshi film makers which pushed them to make more quality production, technology, and storytelling.The film has also attracted the attention of overseas distributors, opening doors for future Bangladeshi movies in the global arena.

The collections did not slow down. By the end of its fourth week, Borbaad had made about 83 cr (BDT) over the world.This made it one of the highest grossing Bangladeshi films ever. 

With its large amount and record breaking earnings, Borbaad became a blockbuster and proved that Bangladeshi cinema can deliver films as per the international standards. Borbaad’s success has set a new benchmark for Bangladeshi films,which  inspires the filmmakers to dream bigger and aim higher at the box office.
