Tollywood Superstar Jeet Finally Enters Politics?

So, after much speculation, will Superstar Jeet finally join politics? For the past few days, various articles regarding this have been appearing on social media.

The reason is that, on the 9th, Jeet was spotted sharing the stage with other BJP leaders at the West Bengal government's swearing-in ceremony. Since then, rumors have been circulating everywhere that, after keeping himself away from politics for so long, Jeet is finally joining the political arena.

We have seen very clearly in the last few years how Bengali film industry is intertwined with Bengali politics. We have seen all the actors, big and small, representing some party. Most of their responsibility is to support the Trinamool Congress government 

While quite a few actors among them were associated with the BJP and other parties, we never saw the Bengali superstar Jeet involved in such matters. He always maintained that he did not understand politics and, for that reason, stayed out of the political arena; so, why is he suddenly being seen on the political stage after all this time?

Note that there is no evidence whatsoever indicating that he has joined any political party; the event he attended was, in fact, a Chief Minister's swearing-in ceremony. Moreover, there is no rule implying that such a ceremony must be attended exclusively by political figures; indeed, back in 2011—during Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's previous swearing-in ceremony—he was present on that occasion as well, attending in his capacity as the superstar Jeet.

Therefore, we cannot categorically state that Jeet has become directly active in any political party or in politics itself. Only the future will tell whether Jeet is seen attending other BJP events going forward; if he is not seen, it will truly become clear that he has no intention of participating in politics.
